Since these socks are made of alpaca and merino wool, can they be washed and dried in machines? Or at least washed in a machine? (That information should always be included with all clothing, IMO.)

These are the care instructions from Dahlgren: Washing Instructions For optimal results, follow these simple suggestions: Using mild detergent, wash in a regular cycle and cold water. Tumble dry in low heat or line dry. Warnings: NEVER USE BLEACH--it destroys the natural fibers. Too much heat or too much dryer time can cause the wool to felt (become stiff and bulky). This won't affect performance, but they won't be as nice and soft as they once were. Wool-lite®, hand-washing, etc. is not necessary. That's it! Following these basic guidelines will keep your Dahlgren's soft and comfy for many adventures to come!
